iPhone 4 Gets Removed From Top 10

Posted by Tristan Thomas July - 25 - 2010 - Sunday 2 COMMENTS

For quite some time PC World has been taking notes and keeping track of the best gadgets out in the market. PC World’s top tens range from the thetop ten Android entertainment apps all the way to the top ten Chrome browser addons.

Probably the most controversial top ten list that PC World carries is theirTop Ten Cell Phones. I personally found this list to be unbiased unlike its counter part’s top 5 cell phone list. So i was not so shocked to see that the iPhone 4 had regained the ground that the iPhone 3GS once tread upon. However I was shocked to see that after the iPhone 4 press conference the iPhone 4 was no where to be found. Thats right, it was yanked from the number one spot. Read the rest of this entry »

Theories At Work; Jobs Knew About Antenna Woes

Posted by Tristan Thomas July - 16 - 2010 - Friday 1 COMMENT

Since the iPhone landed it has received many likes and dislikes ranging from a beautiful screen all the way to a terrible hardware flaw that renders the phone incapable to sustain the basic functions of a cell phone.

One may begin to wonder “how can Steve Jobs, ranked 2nd in the top CEOs in the world back in 2008 and 2009 be so blinded to so many flaws that exist on the iPhone?” Sure the antenna issue is the most discussed issue, but the list goes on and on.

So how did a company that is known for their great customer support and satisfaction levels let this antenna slip by them? It didn’t. Here is my theory at work. Read the rest of this entry »

Posted by Tristan Thomas July - 14 - 2010 - Wednesday 4 COMMENTS

Lately, it seems things haven’t been looking so good for Apple. With Android passing Apple in sales in the first quarter of 2010, iTunes accounts getting hacked, and iPhone 4 problems being reported all over, I’ve decided to write about what seems to be the greatest issue of Apple’s latest device: the Antenna. iPhone 4 Is In But The Problems Are Out: Complete Overview

Posted by Tristan Thomas June - 28 - 2010 - Monday 2 COMMENTS

In a previous article, I wrote about how Apple has always been the one to over hype its own product. Now I understand that this is part of the brain washing techniques that Steve imposes over his loyal Apple fanboys. Jobs spoke so highly about many of his the iPhone 4’s features. The number one thing that came to my mind when i reminisce on the WWDC is the reasoning he gave for having the antenna on the outside of the phone. Jobs claimed that the new design was created in order to improve the call quality. However by now we all know that is not true. Now, let’s discuss a few of the issues that the iPhone 4 has been facing, and how these problems where played down and a little added speculation. Read the rest of this entry »

Theres been a lot of excitement built around the new iPhone; the one that “changes everything again”. Majority of this excitement for the iPhone 4 revolves around the new Retina Display, the front and back facing camera and the design of the phone. AT&T, being the last major cell phone company to offer an Android device has constantly put it self in the spotlight for questioning. What kind of questioning you ask? How about “Hey, why don’t you allow things as they are?” or even “If your going to do something why cant you just do it properly?”. True Lies: Safari 5

Posted by Tristan Thomas June - 11 - 2010 - Friday ADD COMMENTS

On mondey Apple showed off its Safari 5. Once again, Apple felt the need to add lies to hype its own product up (nothing new). Apple claims, “Safari 5 on the Mac runs JavaScript 30 percent faster than Safari 4, three percent faster than Chrome 5.0, and over twice as fast as Firefox 3.6″ but this just isn’t true. True Lies: iPhone 4 Glass Housing Put To The Test

Posted by Tristan Thomas June - 11 - 2010 - Friday ADD COMMENTS

Apple claims that their special engineered glass is the same type of glass used in the windshields of helicopters and high-speed trains. Chemically strengthened to be 20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than plastic, ultradurable and more scratch resistant than ever.

While this new glass that encases both the front and back of the iPhone is more resistant to ‘wear and tear’ damage, it has been shown to be more susceptible to crack should it be dropped. Read the rest of this entry »
